About C.A.R.E.

The Coalition Against Right-Wing Extremism (CARE) was established in the Spring of 2023 to build a communications and organizing plan, one that would tell a clear story to voters about Lt. Governor Mark Robinson’s troubling positions and worldview. Through a diverse coalition of over 20 organizations, we worked to communicate how Robinson’s temperament and political beliefs would negatively impact North Carolinians’ day-to-day lives. The collective work of the 2024 CARE coalition helped contribute to Robinson’s 14-point defeat in the 2024 election.

CARE was re-launched in 2025 with the goal of standing together in opposition to the destructive policies and hateful rhetoric championed by all radical politicians in North Carolina. One of the biggest threats to the economic security and freedoms of North Carolinians is the anti-working class, MAGA extremist Senator Thom Tillis. Our group of organizations represent average North Carolinians across race and place, and we are here to say: Thom Tillis is not the leader we deserve.
